Kuro-ushi Umeshu (Plum Wine)
A plum wine made with a focus on all things Kishu.
Plum wine is made by first steeping ripe Nanko plums from Wakayama Prefecture in Class A shochu, extracting enough essence, and aging it. Then, the original sake of "Kuro-ushi Junmai", a famous sake from Wakayama, is blended and re-aged.
This is a delicious plum wine with a mellow and full flavor, which fully brings out the unique characteristics of sake-based plum wine, and has an excellent balance of aroma and acidity in the aftertaste.
In particular, it is made with a focus on "mellowness, extract, and sweetness" that are optimal for on-the-rocks.
