【Midaigawa Winery Rivière Rouge 2024】

Rich fruitiness and straightforward acidity

This wine is based on Merlot from the high-altitude, cool climate region of Akeno-cho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and Marselan from our own vineyard in the Southern Alps, with a small amount of the wild grape hybrid variety Shidanokagayaki blended in.

The balance of rich fruitiness and straightforward acidity created by each varietal, combined with a subtle hint of new oak, adds complexity.

Midaigawa Winery is a new winery established by Miyairi Valve, a comprehensive manufacturer that produces valves for LPG gas cylinders, leveraging the industrial technology it has cultivated over many years.
Utilizing its years of accumulated industrial expertise, the winery uses its own developed brewing equipment to carefully produce Koshu, Marselan, and other varieties grown in stony, well-drained soil.
It is a new Yamanashi wine that combines technology and nature.
