ONMITSU WINES SISTERs Koshu Orange 2024 750ml [Refrigerated delivery recommended]
[Onmitsu Wines SISTERs Koshu Orange 2024]
The orange wine from the "SISTERs" trilogy, made with Koshu!
The new "SISTERs" series consists of three types – white, orange, and pét-nat – all made using Koshu, a grape variety indigenous to Japan.
The eye-catching label was designed by Baku Maeda, famous for "EYE OF FIRE."
The hand-drawn numbering is also charming.
Onmitsu Wines is a winery run by a husband and wife duo based in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Shinichiro Ogura has an unconventional background, including earning a master's degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and serving as the head of the Space Utilization Promotion Office at the Science and Technology Agency (now the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).
Their motto is to treat grapes not as objects but as living beings, with care and affection. They minimize the use of large machinery and chemicals, meticulously crafting their wines by hand.
