Slow maturation in the Togouchi tunnels

The remains of a tunnel, originally excavated for railway use, have been converted into the "Togouchi Storage Facility" and are used for aging sake.

Utilizing shochu-making techniques cultivated over nearly 100 years, this blend is made by aging grain spirits for over eight years, which have a spicy citrus aroma reminiscent of the fresh greenery of Togochi, and malt whiskey, which has a moderate peaty aroma and a sweetness reminiscent of vanilla and chocolate.

The result is a refreshing, dry whiskey with a mineral feel and the aroma of young grass.
A spicy, mineral-rich nose is followed by a smoky peat aroma.
It has a refreshing, dry taste, and the spicy aroma and scent reminiscent of young grass further accentuate the dryness.
