・What is Beninantaka?
This refers to Wakayama-grown Nanko plums in particular, which, thanks to the power of sunlight, have a vivid red color on their green plum surface.
Only those plum trees that get plenty of sun can produce these fruits, making them extremely rare and highly valued, and only traded in the high-end market. In addition, they can only be produced in years with good weather, so in years with continuous rain or lots of clouds, beautiful Beninanko plums cannot be produced, making them such a valuable commodity that they cannot even be shipped.
