[Hiraizumi Sour Boy Junmai Ginjo Nama]
A sake that delights the eye and the palate.
This much-talked-about sake has garnered attention since its introduction on the brewery's social media, leading to a rapid increase in inquiries from general customers.
The striking label, designed by Tokyo-based designer couple "CONICO," incorporates the playful idea of drinking with a straw, reflecting their desire to convey the joy of sake to younger generations.
This year, the flavor has evolved further. While retaining last year's gentle sweet and sour base, it now features a more fresh and vibrant acidity harmonizing with a firm sweetness. It offers a gorgeous aroma reminiscent of apple honey, Kosui pears, strawberries, and Japanese citrus fruits. Upon tasting, a refreshing sweetness is accompanied by a pleasant, brisk acidity like pink grapefruit.
With an exquisite balance that is neither too sweet nor too sour, it can be enjoyed lightly like juice while also possessing the depth of sake, resulting in a highly refined finish. The name "Sour" embodies its original meaning of "a drink to enjoy acidity" rather than a carbonated beverage. We propose this as a new sensation in sake.
