A gorgeous aroma reminiscent of junmai daiginjo sake
Ginjo Torikai is a rice shochu with a flavor like junmai daiginjo sake rather than shochu.
Sake-brewing rice varieties "Yamada Nishiki" and "Gohyakumangoku" are polished to 50-60%, similar to ginjo sake. It is slowly fermented at a low temperature using proprietary yeast and yellow koji, which is normally used for sake brewing.
The main characteristic of this shochu is its aroma.
The elegant fruity aroma, felt the moment the bottle is opened, is reminiscent of junmai daiginjo sake. It is a very easy-to-drink rice shochu with a soft mouthfeel and a refreshing finish.
We recommend drinking it on the rocks or with water.
When doing so, we recommend using crushed ice or mineral water. By using ice and water that do not have a freezer or chlorine odor, you can fully enjoy the aroma of "Torikai."
