Katsunuma, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a small town, but it is widely known as the birthplace of Japanese wine and is counted as one of the regions producing high-quality wines.
Winemaker Toshikazu Ikeda was captivated by wine in his youth, moved to Katsunuma, and brewed at a local winery.
In 1995, he realized his long-held dream of independence, and "Ikeda Winery" was established in Katsunuma.
For 15 years since its establishment, the winery has been committed to making wines that emphasize flavor.
