Mount Chokai, Akita's pride and joy, stands 2,230 meters above sea level and is a treasure trove of delicate nature.
The pure water produced by the perpetual snow of Mt. Chokai flows underground and springs forth, and it is only then that Tenju sake is made.
We have poured our heart and soul into growing the rice, aiming to produce the highest quality local sake possible.
Tenju's raw rice varieties, "Sake Komachi" and "Miyama Nishiki," are all grown by Tenju sake rice researchers.
The Tenju Sake Rice Research Association was established in 1983 with the goal of "ensuring that the sake rice used by our company is sourced locally."
With the cooperation of local farmers, led by the brewers, the brewery has a history of over 20 years.
We also practice pesticide-free cultivation and continue to produce higher quality sake rice.
