Taketsuru x Miyoshi Winery FUSION 2024 "Quality Time" 720ml
[Taketsuru x Miyoshi Winery FUSION 2024 Quality Time]
Limited release of 301 bottles! An enchanting sake born from tradition and new ventures
Wine barrels that had been used to age red wine (Merlot) at Miyoshi Winery in Hiroshima Prefecture were sent to Taketsuru Sake Brewery, which also brews the famous Hiroshima sake "Taketsuru," where they were aged for 262 days.
Taketsuru Sake Brewery is the birthplace of Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky, who is said to be the father of Japanese whiskey and was made famous by the NHK morning drama "Massan."
Taketsuru Sake Brewery is a brewery that is committed to preserving traditional Japanese sake, using the traditional method of kimoto brewing without adding yeast, and placing emphasis on aging by storing all products at room temperature rather than refrigerated.
A beautiful and alluring amber color, like orange wine.
Complex aromas of maple syrup, nuts, quince, and medicinal herbs.
The sake's unique characteristics are clear and the nuances of the wine are a little hard to detect, but the acidity that is characteristic of Taketsuru is very mellow and well-balanced.
It pairs well with Japanese cuisine that uses soy sauce, aged cheese, and Chinese cuisine in general, which is reminiscent of Shaoxing wine.
