[Hishida Distillery Whisky Single Blended NEW BORN Prelude 2.5]

The strength and delicacy of the ingredients can only be brought out by the short maturation period.

Hishida Distillery is a whiskey production facility that was newly established in 2022 within Tensei Shuzo, a long-established shochu brewery.
This malt and grain whiskey distillery is located in Osaki Town on the Osumi Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture and uses ultra-soft water from the Fugendo Spring, which was selected as one of the 100 best waters of the Heisei era.
Osaki Town is also known as the Florida of Japan due to its warm climate, and under these rare conditions, sufficient barrel aging effects can be achieved even in a short period of time.

There is a product called Prelude2, which is distributed in extremely limited quantities only at events, direct from the factory, and as an export. It is an excellent product that has received high praise from many quarters, including winning the Best Cost Performance Award in the Newborn category at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition (TWSC) 2025.

However, due to the specifications of the constituent raw liquors, it is not possible to reproduce the same specifications.
So, based on the recipe of Prelude 2, the blend ratio was reconstructed and the product was created as Prelude 2.5.

Now, two and a half years after starting whiskey production, we have selected the best-aged raw spirits from the malt and grain whiskeys we have produced so far and blended them together.

The key ingredient is a rare malt spirit aged for two years in Sauternes casks, and the grain spirit "Chocolate Barley," created using a unique method, leaves a bitter, lingering aftertaste.
