[Rz55 Junmai Ginjo Kame no O ]

A limited edition sake from a super popular brewery made using 100% rare rice " Kamenoo " !

The rice used is the mythical "Kame no O" variety, which was once discontinued due to the difficulty of cultivation, and is polished to 55 %.
It has a fragrance reminiscent of ripe fruit, a mellow mouthfeel, and a rich, soft rice flavor and sweetness.
It has the richness and depth that is unique to Kame no O, resulting in a deliciously dry and perfectly balanced flavor.

・About "Turtle Tail"
It was discovered and cultivated in 1893 by Abe Kameji, a farmer in Yamagata Prefecture .
The roots of currently well-known varieties such as Koshihikari, Hitomebore, and Akitakomachi.
Due to its excellent flavor, this sake rice was famous in eastern Japan, where it was called "Kouhaku-san," "Omachi" in the west, and "Kame-o" in the east. However, it is weak to chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and is not suited to modern farming methods, so it is disappearing.
A sake brewery in Niigata Prefecture spent three years reviving it and perfecting a ginjo sake using Kame-o.
"Natsuko no Sake," which was based on this revival story, was a huge hit both as a manga and a TV drama.
