[Carefit Farm Winery Kohaku POP 2023]

Natural, barrel-aged orange wine made with 100% Koshu from our own vineyards in Katsunuma

Made with 100% Koshu grapes from trellised vineyards in Toriihira and Hishiyama Hill regions, and Shimo-Iwasaki and Todoroki-Hikawa regions of Katsunuma town.

Similar to red wine, the juice is fermented with the skins and seeds in a tank using wild yeast, without any additives such as antioxidants, enzymes, nutrients, or fining agents. It is then aged unfiltered in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels.

You can find spicy notes from the barrel aging, as well as aromas of white peach.
It might also benefit from a bit of aging.

It pairs well with stir-fried pork or chicken, all kinds of Japanese cuisine, and mild Chinese dishes.
