・From the Kai Winery Official Website
Far back in the Sengoku period, the Oso district of Kai province was a village inhabited by the Kurokawa gold miners. Our family possesses a vermilion seal letter granted by the Takeda family in Tenbun 12 (1543).
In Tenpo 5 (1834), Kazama Eke founded a sake brewing business. In Showa 61 (1986), Kai Winery Co., Ltd. was established in the very same storehouse that preserves this history.
While breathing new life into the traditions and techniques inherited since its founding, our aim is to produce high-quality wines that suit the delicate palate and food culture of the Japanese people.
