ONMITSU WINES SISTERs Koshu white 2024 750ml [Refrigerated delivery recommended]
[ONMITSU WINES SISTERs Koshu white 2024]
The white wine from the "SISTERs" trilogy, made with Koshu!
The new "SISTERs" series consists of three wines—white, orange, and pet-nat—all made using Koshu, a grape variety native to Japan.
The eye-catching labels were created by Baku Maeda, famous for "EYE OF FIRE."
The hand-drawn numbering is also a charming touch.
Onmitsu Wines is a winery operated by a husband and wife based in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Shinichiro Ogura has an unconventional background, including earning a master's degree from MIT and serving as the director of the Space Utilization Promotion Office at the Science and Technology Agency (now the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology).
Their motto is to treat grapes not as mere objects but as living beings, with love and care. They minimize the use of large machinery and chemicals, focusing instead on meticulous, handcrafted winemaking.
