[With special box] 100 Years Plum Wine (Hyakunen Umeshu) Whiskey Barrel Aged 700ml
[100-Year Plum Wine, Aged in Whisky Barrels]
A luxurious plum wine made from the best plum wine in Japan and Ichiro's Malt!
We borrow whiskey barrels that have been aged in Chichibu from Chichibu Distillery, which has a long-standing relationship with Meiji Shurui and is famous for its "Ichiro's Malt," to age our 100-year-old plum wine, which is known as the best in Japan.
The Hyakunen Umeshu raw liquor is aged for 12 months in barrels at Chichibu Distillery.
Finally, by adding carefully selected malt whiskey, we express the vanilla aroma and complex, rich sweetness derived from the whiskey barrels.
It has a rich aroma of whiskey barrels and plum wine, and a smooth mouthfeel.
When you put it in your mouth, an elegant and gentle sweetness spreads, and although it has a rich flavor, it is not overly sweet and has a clean aftertaste.
Hyakunen Umeshu won first place at the Tenman Tenjin Umeshu Competition, which determines the best umeshu in Japan, and earned the title of Tenka Gomen.
The raw sake is made using 100% carefully selected fresh domestic unripened plums, "Shirakaga," and then aged, and finished using natural water, honey, and brandy.
By taking the time to mature, this premium plum wine is not just sweet but also has a complex, rich taste with acidity and bitterness.
Enjoy this premium plum liqueur, a collaboration between Hyakunen Umeshu, the brand known as the best in Japan, and Chichibu Distillery, the distillery behind Ichiro's Malt, a whiskey brand that Japan is proud of around the world.
