【Yasuda Hamakomachi】

A super-limited version of the hard-to-find imo shochu "Yasuda"!

While the regular Yasuda is a 100% sweet potato shochu made from Tsurunashigentsu sweet potatoes, this super-limited version uses 100% Hamakomachi, an orange sweet potato.

Kokubu Shuzo received word from a contract farmer that the "Hamakomachi" sweet potatoes they harvested had no destination and were causing a problem.
Having been interested in "Hamakomachi" sweet potatoes for some time, after discussing it with Yasuda Toji, this limited version, made using the same brewing method as "Yasuda," is now available.

While not as much as the regular Yasuda, the components linked to the fruity aroma characteristic of imo shochu are very high, and β-damascenone, which is said to have a rose-like floral aroma and a tea-like aroma, is almost three times higher than in the regular Yasuda.

During the moromi stage, the shochu had a very strong carrot-like grassy smell, and even after distillation, it retained a strong carrot-like aroma and bitterness. However, through aging, the bitterness was suppressed, and a floral aroma began to emerge.
