Project to support sake breweries affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake
Joint brewing of "Don't stop Noto sake!"
This sake is part of the "Don't Stop Noto's Sake!" project, which supports sake breweries affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake earlier this year.
The affected sake breweries suffered extensive damage and will be in a difficult position to continue sake brewing for the next few years.
This project involves producing sake in collaboration with breweries across the country, with the aim of not stopping distribution at breweries affected by the disaster.
...The following is a message from Mori Sake Brewery...
Our company is participating in the "Don't Stop Noto's Sake!" project to support sake breweries affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake earlier this year.
Our brewing partner, Tsuruno Sake Brewery, lost its storehouse completely during the disaster, but they are looking forward to rebuilding it and resuming sake brewing in the same location in Noto.
The sake we will be introducing this time is a product called "Taniizumi Original," which is a direct reproduction of the recipe of Tsuruno Sake Brewery's brand "Taniizumi."
All of the rice used is precious Yamada Nishiki rice that was rescued from a completely destroyed storehouse.
When brewing the sake, Shintaro Tsuruno, the owner of Tsuruno Sake Brewery, came to our company and worked with us.
While working together, Tsuruno said, "I thought I would never be able to make sake again, so I'm just happy that I can now."
Hearing those words made me realize just how fortunate we are to be in the position where brewing sake is something we take for granted. It gave me the opportunity to be grateful for my everyday life and to brew sake with a feeling of returning to my roots.
This sake was made for the future of Tsuruno Sake Brewery.
The amount of rice is very small and really just a little, but we wanted to share it with everyone on Team Hiran so that they could come and support us.
