[With exclusive box] Muichibutsu unblended sake 5 years aged 720ml
[Nothing Raw Sake Five years of aging
You will be captivated by the richness and flavor that only unprocessed sake can offer.
This is a small-batch undiluted version of the popular barley shochu " Muichibutsu ," which is made using carefully selected ingredients, carefully fermented and distilled, and then aged for five years in oak barrels.
It has a rich aroma and mild flavor that can only be achieved through long-term aging, as well as the deep flavor and full-bodied taste that can only be achieved with unblended sake.
Enjoy the amber color, rich and gorgeous vanilla aroma that comes from barrel aging, and the deep mouthfeel and mild yet deep flavor like whiskey.
From the Ikinokura Brewery official website :
Since the Liquor Tax Law was enacted in 1899 , 55 shochu breweries have been established in Iki .
Since then, there have been many mergers and closures, and currently seven breweries are competing to make shochu. Ikinokura Shuzo, located on a small hill in the center of the island, is one of them.
Six breweries came together to establish the Iki Shochu Cooperative Association in 1984. In 2010 , in hopes of further growth and the development of Iki Shochu, the company changed its name to Ikinokura Shuzo.
While preserving the traditional techniques handed down since the 16th century, they boldly take on new challenges such as reduced pressure distillation and flower yeast brewing in the pursuit of the deliciousness of Iki Shochu.
