A new type of sweet potato shochu with a refreshing minty sweetness!

This is a new type of shochu that will make you forget about the concept of shochu for a moment. When you put it in your mouth, it has a refreshing taste that reminds you of mint!

While this product's sister brand , Flamingo Orange , uses sweet potato koji, Cool Mint Green is brewed with a ratio of 1 part rice koji to 5.5 parts sweet potato koji.

The Kagoshima Kaori Yeast No. 1 yeast they use tends to produce a high level of compounds that lead to banana-like aromas. In the case of Flamingo Orange, which uses sweet potato koji, the level was not as high. They thought that rice koji was necessary to enhance the aroma compounds, and so they decided to try making sweet potato shochu using rice koji and Kagoshima Kaori Yeast No. 1 .

Furthermore, Toji Yasuda believes that the usual brewing method is not interesting, so he uses the " bowl brewing " method, in which koji, sweet potato, and yeast are brewed at the same time to bring out the unique characteristics of the sake.

Compared to when it was first released in 2020, we have been able to successfully bring out the ingredients that lead to fruity and citrus aromas, allowing you to enjoy a more minty and refreshing scent.
