The wine barrels used to age red wine (Merlot) from Miyoshi Winery in Hiroshima Prefecture were sent to Taketsuru Sake Brewery, which also produces the famous sake ``Taketsuru'' in Hiroshima Prefecture, where they were aged for 262 days.

Taketsuru Sake Brewery is the birthplace of Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whiskey, who is said to be the father of Japanese whisky, and was made famous by the NHK morning drama "Massan."
Taketsuru Sake Brewery is a sake brewery that strives to inherit traditional Japanese sake by making kimoto without adding yeast, and by placing an emphasis on good aging of all products by storing them at room temperature instead of refrigeration. .

Beautiful and fascinating amber color like orange wine.
Complex aromas of maple syrup, nuts, quince, and medicinal herbs.
The character of the sake is clear and the nuances of the wine are a little hard to detect, but the acidity unique to Taketsuru is very mellow and well-balanced.

It goes well with Japanese cuisine using soy sauce, aged cheese, and Chinese cuisine in general due to its image of Shaoxing wine.
