Katsunuma in Yamanashi Prefecture is a very small town, but it is widely known as the birthplace of Japanese wine and is considered one of the regions producing high-quality wines.
Winemaker Toshikazu Ikeda was captivated by wine at a young age, moved to Katsunuma, and worked as a winemaker at a local winery.
In 1995, he achieved his long-held dream of independence, and Ikeda Winery was established in Katsunuma.
For 15 years since its establishment, the winery has been dedicated to crafting wines with a focus on taste.
