This barley shochu is made from Genshu distilled at atmospheric pressure, cooled to -5 degrees Celsius, filtered again, and then aged for a long period.
It has a faintly sweet barley aroma, and when you taste it, you'll find the savory aroma and faint sweetness of barley, followed by the rich taste of roasted barley.
Perhaps because the genshu is cooled, filtered, and then aged, it is a robust type that is free of impurities and harshness, with a clean finish that allows you to enjoy the original aroma and flavor of barley.
