・The origin of the sake name "Garyubai"
"Garyu" means a dragon hiding underground, and is an analogy for Zhuge Liang, a hero who hid among the common people because he had no opportunity to pursue his ambitions. At a Zen temple near Sanwa Sake Brewery, there is a "Garyu Plum" tree that is said to have been planted by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Ieyasu, who later became the ruler of Japan, also had a time when he was a Garyu. Learning from the story of the Garyu, the sake was named "Garyu Plum" in the hope that it would eventually be praised as the finest sake in the world.
