Traditional direct-fire kettle distillation of awamori
Nowadays, distillation using boiler steam is mainstream, but Seifuku Shuzo produces awamori using the old-fashioned direct-fire kettle distillation method, in which a fire is applied directly to the kettle and the heat in each kettle is carefully controlled to distill the awamori.
It has a robust flavor, a slight sweetness of rice, and a rich, fragrant aroma.
It is brewed using traditional techniques passed down from our predecessors and the techniques that our master brewers have perfected. Direct fire Shofuku, born from current techniques, is a very satisfying awamori with a rich, aromatic flavor that is just like awamori.
