Founded in 1890 . The brewery is located in a town at the foot of a mountain called Kakudayama , about an hour's drive from the center of Niigata City .
Aiming to be a delicious sake that would please people, the name ``Tsurukame'' was chosen to create an easy-to-understand and auspicious trademark.
