Katsunuma, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a very small town, but it is widely known as the birthplace of Japanese wine and is also considered one of the regions producing high-quality wines.
Winemaker Toshikazu Ikeda was captivated by wine in his youth, moved to Katsunuma, and worked as a winemaker at a local winery.
In 1995, he realized his long-held dream of independence, and "Ikeda Winery" was born in Katsunuma.
For 15 years since its establishment, the winery has been committed to producing wines with excellent flavor.
