A New Form of New Shochu, Different from Typical New Pot Shochu
This new pot shochu combines the distinctive savory and milky aroma and rich texture characteristic of new shochu with the fruity notes derived from wine yeast. New pot shochu made with wine yeast tends to lose sulfur-like aromatic components, often described as a gassy smell, more quickly.
After opening, the flavor transforms from a fruit tart-like balance of savory notes and fruitiness to a fruit milkshake-like fusion of milky richness and fruitiness.
