A superb balance of fruit and barrel, with a gorgeous aroma
This white wine is made from carefully selected high-quality Koshu grapes, with a balanced acidity and sweetness brought out to their fullest potential through barrel fermentation.
After 72 days of barrel fermentation and 3 months of barrel aging, the moderate barrel aroma, with 13% new oak, and the fruit flavors are exquisitely harmonized.
A refreshing and gorgeous aroma reminiscent of hassaku and grapefruit is layered with deep nuances of toast, almond, and mocha cream. When you take a sip, the fruitiness and the rich barrel-derived flavors spread out in a well-balanced manner.
While having a firm acidity, it has a mellow mouthfeel and is characterized by a powerful taste for a white wine.
As time passes, the barrel flavors mellow, and bottle aging further deepens the taste, allowing you to enjoy it according to your preference.
This wine pairs exceptionally well with umami-rich dishes such as unagi no shirayaki (grilled eel without sauce), chicken skin sautéed with yuzu pepper, fish broth, and wagyu roast beef. Please enjoy this high-quality white wine that enhances Japanese dining.
