Oak barrels that were used for aging rum for 10 years in Martinique, a French territory in the Caribbean, are now being used to age IPA beer in France, and these barrels are then used to further age Togouchi whiskey.

This whiskey has the refreshing hop aroma and bitterness of IPA beer, the honey aroma of rum, and the baked apple-like sweetness of the wood finish, creating a harmonious blend of sweetness, bitterness, and the aroma of aged sweet fruit.
