THE SUN has been released in limited quantities every year as a premium blended drink to replace the MOON GLOW series, but with this latest release it will sadly come to an end.

A peaty, aromatic collaboration between Saburomaru malt and home-aged grain.
Saburomaru Malt, which accounts for the majority of the whiskey, is made primarily from malt aged in bourbon barrels, as well as in Mizunara oak head barrels and roasted barrels made at a local barrel workshop in Tonami City.

It has the smoky, rich, yet intricate aroma and flavor that is characteristic of Saburomaru. The grain whisky is aged for over 12 years, and then further aged in-house, gently enveloping the powerful aroma and flavor of the malt whisky and creating a wonderful harmony.
