【Domaine Oyamada Hyuga 2023】

A wine that evokes the southern sun

This vineyard is located on a south-facing slope in Hyuga, Esowara, Yamanashi City.
Southern Vitis vinifera varieties are interplanted using the trellising method. Even in winter, the sunlight is so strong that it feels hot, and spring arrives early. Since 2018, it has been released after one year of aging in old barrels and one year of bottle aging.

The aroma features pale red fruit notes like blood orange and acerola at the top, with sweet
barrel-derived aromas creating a more balanced profile.
It has a strong drinking experience, with a robust acidity and alcohol content reminiscent of Tannat, still conveying a youthful power.
Similar citrus and red fruit nuances to the 2022 vintage are characteristic of Hyuga.
