JAKU UN BAKU CRAFT GIN Shakuun Bari Rough Filter 700ml
[JAKU UN BAKU CRAFT GIN Shakuunmugi rough filtration]
A new gin that makes use of the flavor of barley malt: a challenge from a shochu brewery with 130 years of history!
The base spirit is made from barley shochu, which is repeatedly distilled in a single-column still, and is infused with juniper berries and four types of botanicals from Kyushu.
Black peppermint and German chamomile grown in Yame in the Fukuoka region are not only fresh, but also have a wonderful fragrance, as the herbs are dried using a method that uses Yame tea after processing.
The distinctive cedar flavour of this gin comes from being cut from the heart of Hita cedar.
Furthermore, they are particular about using domestically produced dried tangerine peel.
The distilled gin is made through a total of three distillations and then aged in white oak barrels.
A simple yet unique gin.
By storing the raw liquor in white oak barrels, the aroma of the Yurao barrels is combined with five types of botanicals to create a rich, deep, and smooth taste.
Unlike gin, which uses crude alcohol, in order to preserve the flavor of the barley in the base alcohol without compromising it, this gin does not use chill filtration, but instead uses a "wash filtration method" that retains the oils and fats.
The elegant sweetness of the flavor changes gradually with the aroma, creating a complex aftertaste.
