○ From the Shimazaki Sake Brewery official website
Founded in 1849 by the first Hikobei Shimazaki. The 2nd generation Kumakichi took over a sake brewery with a history of more than 200 years in the current Karasuyama. In addition, Kumakichi was an unrivaled sumo fan, so the name of the sake was also named "Azuma Rikishi".
We are committed to producing umakuchi sake that fully expresses the flavor and sweetness of the rice using traditional techniques, preserving the secret sweetness of local sake, and continuing to pursue even more delicious sake.
