Kagura Shuzo was founded in 1954 in Takachiho Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, the home of mythology. Since then, we have constantly striven to improve quality and have aimed to create beloved products, with our company motto being "to deliver excellent shochu to our customers." In 2009 , the company opened a new factory in Saito City, a city famous for its potato-growing industry, and discovered the clear, cool Saito Shimizu water in the Shimizu district of Saito City, which is ideal for brewing. The shochu produced in this rich environment, with carefully selected ingredients, a warm climate, and brilliant sunshine, is loved and praised by shochu lovers all over Japan.
