LIBROM has released many craft sakes using flowers, fruits, herbs, etc. as secondary ingredients, but they were also looking for spices to try making something spicy.
When he saw the results, he had an idea: "This could be the raw material for cola!"
When they tried to make cola and use the syrup as a secondary ingredient, they discovered that cola also contains dregs.
Cola dregs are similar to sake lees in the production of sake, and are made from the remains of spices and citrus fruits, as well as the residue left over from straining syrup, produced during the cola production process.
Unlike sake lees, cola lees are usually discarded, so we decided to make a delicious drink out of them.
LIBROM COLA was created.
The cola dregs are provided by Tomo Cola, the original craft cola brand created by a perfumer in 2018, which produces cola using only 100% natural ingredients and with no additives.
"Tomo Cola" returns to the origins of cola as a medicinal drink and aims to revamp cola, which has come to have an image of being unhealthy.
LIBROM GINGER is the second in the spice series following Ginger, and is a drink that aims to be like a refined cola.
Because the taste of cola dregs is quite punchy, the base liquor is designed to be milder in acidity and sweetness than usual, and the taste of cola is added to balance it out.
You can taste the original citrus flavor of cola, which was originally consumed as a medicinal drink, as well as the aroma and flavor of various spices including cinnamon and cardamom.
The rice lees have a stronger taste of the secondary ingredients, so please enjoy mixing them together.
