It has a refreshing taste, with the lively acidity and fresh fruitiness typical of Sauvignon Blanc, and a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste that tightens the flavor.

Sakai Winery was founded in 1892 and is the oldest winery in the Tohoku region.
Since around 2007, the company has switched from conventional farming methods to pesticide-free grape cultivation in its own fields, and uses around 20 sheep to graze the fields and remove weeds.

We make wine using natural yeast and microorganisms present in the land, and follow traditional methods such as the non-filter method that we have been using since the company was founded, to create wine that is rooted in the land.
