[Haruouizume Special Pure Rice Sake Dry]
The driest type in the brewery's lineup
The rice used is locally grown Tamae rice, polished to 60 %.
It has a light yet crisp, dry taste with the flavor of rice.
It enhances the flavor of your meal and goes well with sweet and spicy hotpot dishes during the cold season.
We recommend serving it at room temperature or warm.
○ Excerpt from the official website of Yorozuya Brewery
In 1790 , the first head of the family , Yorozuya Hachigoro, opened the brewery at its current location, and at the time the name of the sake was first used as "Ichiriki Masamune." However, in 1932 , the poet Yosano Akiko, who was a friend of the French literature scholar Nakagomi Junji, the younger brother of the sixth head of the family, Nakagomi Min, visited the brewery and wrote the following poem: "The sake of Kai, like going to Horyuji Temple, from the brewery where the song of the spring nightingale is heard." This led to the name being changed to "Haruouisuzou. "
We use slightly hard underground water from Mt. Kushigatake, the southernmost tip of the Southern Alps, for brewing, and we mainly produce pure rice sake in the winter.
The flavor of Haruouisuzume is slightly dry with a soft, savory flavor and a subtle, refined acidity.
As the name suggests, it has a charming, warm flavor that evokes spring in the mountainous region of Kai.
