Soreiyu Syrah 2022 Diary 720ml
[Soreiyu Schiller 2022 Diary]
Production volume: 662 units
Made with 93% Syrah from our own vineyards in the Yahata area of Yamanashi City and 7% Merlot from our own vineyards in Iwate.
The top notes are a slightly sensual scent of crimson rose and wet bark.
Over time, the aromas of candied violets, white pepper and fresh plums develop.
On the palate, the mulberry-like fruitiness with a youthful acidity spreads on the light tannins, and the peppery spice that lingers in your nostrils gives the flavor a cheerful rhythm.
It goes well with black olives, prosciutto, bruschetta, and ratatouille.
The best drinking temperature is around 16°C.
The Hiragana "Soreyu" series is a popular series made by selecting and brewing only the most ripe bunches of European grapes from our own fields that are harvested and brewed that year.
Over the 20 years since planting their own vineyards, Kyokuyo Shu has pondered over the unique flavor of their Yamanashi wines, and has decided that rather than striving to record high quality wines, their goal for the next 20 years of winemaking is to faithfully record the progress of their wines year by year.
The concept of this diary series is to record each year's wine, capturing the various landscapes that occur during winemaking.
