The first generation of the Yokozawa family, who was born in Wakasa ( now Fukui Prefecture ) , ran a koji shop in the current location . This is the beginning of the history of the moon's rings.
Since generations of family heads have been involved in sake brewing, since 1991 , Taizo Yokozawa, the current brewer ( 7th generation of the Yokozawa family ) , has taken command of sake brewing as owner and chief brewer.
At the time of incorporation on November 1 , 2005 , Yuko Yokozawa became the chief brewer and is brewing sake under a new system.
