Back in the Sengoku period, Oso-go in Kai Province was a village inhabited by the Kurokawa gold miners. Our family preserves a red-seal letter (goshuinjo) granted by the Takeda clan in the 12th year of the Tenbun era (1543).
In the 5th year of the Tenpo era (1834), Kaihei Kazama founded our brewing business. In 1986, Kai Winery Co., Ltd. was established within the storehouse residence that preserves this history.
While breathing new life into the traditions and techniques passed down since our founding, we strive to craft high-quality wines that suit the delicate palate and food culture of the Japanese people.
