The slow, time-consuming fermentation process brings out the full flavor of the grapes, and the wine is then left to rest slowly in barrels to enhance its maturation.

Katsunuma in Yamanashi Prefecture is a very small town, but it is widely known as the birthplace of Japanese wine and is counted as one of the regions that produces high-quality wine.
Winemaker Toshikazu Ikeda fell in love with wine at a young age and moved to Katsunuma where he worked as a brewer at a winery in the town.
In 1995 , he realized his long-held dream of becoming independent and established Ikeda Winery in Katsunuma.
For 15 years since our founding , we have been producing wines with a focus on flavor.
