【Hishida Distillery Whisky Single Blended NEW BORN Prelude 2.5】

The power and delicacy of the original ingredients, brought out precisely because of the short maturation period.

Hishida Distillery is a whisky distillery newly established in 2022 within the premises of Tenchu Shuzo, a long-established shochu brewery.
It is a malt and grain whisky distillery located in Oosaki Town, Osumi Peninsula, Kagoshima Prefecture, where ultra-soft water from the "Fugendo Spring Source," selected as one of the "Heisei's Top 100 Famous Waters," is used.
Oosaki Town is known as the Florida of Japan due to its warm climate, which allows for sufficient barrel aging effects in a short period under these rare conditions.

A product called Prelude 2 existed, with extremely limited distribution through event sales, direct factory sales, and exports only. It is a highly acclaimed product, having received the "Best Cost Performance Award" in the New Born category at the Tokyo Whisky & Spirits Competition (TWSC) 2025.

However, due to the specifications of the component whiskies, it was not possible to reproduce the same specifications.
Therefore, Prelude 2.5 was created by re-evaluating the blending ratio based on the Prelude 2 recipe.

Two and a half years after the start of whisky production, malt and grain whiskies that have been produced so far and have matured well were selected and blended.

Rare Sauternes cask-aged malt whisky matured for 2 years is the key, and the "chocolate barley" grain whisky, created using a unique method, leaves a bitter finish that lingers.
