Uses high-quality Chardonnay that would normally be treated as a premium cuvée

All of the Chardonnay harvested in 2021 was of such high quality that it would normally be treated as a premium cuvée.

From the countless winemaking options, we chose to ensure that the unique character of this neutral-flavored varietal was not overwhelmed by other elements.
We fermented the juice separately based on differences in ripeness and pressing pressure, and then adjusted through blending to mellow out any prominent impressions.

It has a bright, lustrous greenish-yellow color, with gentle, layered aromas of La France pear, banana, and white peach at the top.
In the mouth, a generous and rounded acidity and flavor impression spread smoothly, with a refreshing finish that leaves no lingering, dull impression.

This is a rare Woody Farm wine that takes a step back and leaves a lingering impression.

WOODY FARM & WINERY has two facets: a domaine winery that produces wine solely from grapes grown in its own vineyards at the foot of Mount Zao in Yamagata, and an orchard dedicated to cultivating high-quality fruits.
The grapes are cultivated with organic reduced-pesticide methods (certified special cultivation by Yamagata Prefecture), and the journey of expressing what can only be done in this land through fruit cultivation is what defines Woody Farm today.
