Released as the fifth installment in the Saburoumaru Single Malt Whisky series, distilled in 2020.

In 2020, the Saburoumaru Distillery prepared two types of peat: inland peat from the traditional Highland region and sea peat from Islay Island.
Compared to Islay peat, inland peat has a straightforward and powerful smokiness, with a dry nuance like burning dried wood.

Furthermore, with the introduction of wooden washbacks that year, diverse fermentation by unique lactic acid bacteria became possible, achieving a balance of fruitiness and maltiness.
Please experience the culmination of inland peat that began with Saburoumaru II.
